Basic Information About Our Australian Shepherds

Thanks for checking our blog!
Here is a little background info about our dogs.
1. They are purebred Australian Shepherds (full-size; not miniatures).
2. They are average-sized for the breed
3. Both parents are from foundational bloodlines of the Australian Shepherd breed (Los Rocosa)
4. The parent dogs are registered with the Australian Shepherd Club of America. The litter will be registered. Buyers will be given the paperwork and will be responsible for registering their own individual puppy.
5. The father is a blue merle with white and copper trim (his name is Buster). We purchased him in Colorado.
6. The mother is a red tri (her name is Lucy). We purchased her in western Nebraska.
7. We live in the country and the puppies are raised outdoors (although our grandchildren bring them in the house sometimes!)
8. We have cattle and horses and our dogs love to "work"
9. The photos on this blog are from previous litters unless they are labeled as a current litter.

December, 2013 Puppies Have Arrived!

Lucy & Buster's latest litter was born on the chilly (OK, cold) night of December 7, 2013.
If you are looking for a puppy, here is what I "think" she has:

6 puppies total…lots of color!

1-blue merle male--he is spoken for
1-black tri female--she is spoken for
1-red tri female--she is spoken for
1-red merle female--she is spoken for
1-red merle male-(half solid red face)--he is spoken for
1-stout, quiet red merle male--natural bob--AVAILABLE--call if interested

Give us a call to reserve a puppy for late January, 2014 pick-up.
They will have their first shots and will be wormed before their pick-up date.

  1. Buying a dog from a breeder will obviously be more expensive than adopting a dog from the shelter, but there are advantages. A dog obtained from a breeder comes with more security, and you can be sure that any significant problems you encounter with your puppy will be taken care of. That being said, some breeders are more reliable than others.
