Basic Information About Our Australian Shepherds

Thanks for checking our blog!
Here is a little background info about our dogs.
1. They are purebred Australian Shepherds (full-size; not miniatures).
2. They are average-sized for the breed
3. Both parents are from foundational bloodlines of the Australian Shepherd breed (Los Rocosa)
4. The parent dogs are registered with the Australian Shepherd Club of America. The litter will be registered. Buyers will be given the paperwork and will be responsible for registering their own individual puppy.
5. The father is a blue merle with white and copper trim (his name is Buster). We purchased him in Colorado.
6. The mother is a red tri (her name is Lucy). We purchased her in western Nebraska.
7. We live in the country and the puppies are raised outdoors (although our grandchildren bring them in the house sometimes!)
8. We have cattle and horses and our dogs love to "work"
9. The photos on this blog are from previous litters unless they are labeled as a current litter.

Puppy Portraits--not quite one month

Red tri female--we call her "Ziggy"--notice the unique marking on the back of her neck!
The puppies are really growing. Here are their first individual "portraits." They will be a lot cuter in a couple more weeks, but here is a look at each one to see their coloring. We call them names so we can identify which puppy is which. They have already received lots of TLC from our grandkids!!

Red merle male--we call him "Tuffy"
Blue merle male (w/ white and copper trim). (we call him Buster, Jr.)
Another picture of the blue merle male fittingly tagged "Buster Jr."
"Tuffy"...the red merle male puppy.
Another view of Tuffy...the red merle male. This picture doesn't show how cute he is!
This picture doesn't do him justice--he is the stoutest made puppy of the litter. He is a dark blue merle with copper trim and a little bit of white also.
Blue merle female (w/ white & copper trim)
The only black tri of the litter--a female.
Blue merle male (I think!!!)
Close-up of Buster Jr. 's face (blue merle male)
"Cookie"...the most uniquely colored puppy of the litter. She is a red merle female with white and copper trim. She is definitely "kid-proofed" as our granddaughters love her!
"Cookie" from the back so you can see her unique coloring.
Red merle male (another picture of him)
Oops, sorry I didn't get the pictures uploaded. Here they are now. I think we missed getting a picture of the other red tri female.
Left to sell: 1 red merle female, 1 blue merle female, and 2 red tri females plus 2 blue merle males, and 1 red merle male.
Call for information or to reserve your pick of the litter!
